Nicholas “Nico” Staub: Criado en Argentina y ahora viviendo en Los Angeles, Nico esta orgulloso de ser parte del equipo de Pulsar Sound, tomando la posicion como ingeniero de la estacion y liderando el programa de “Latin Fusion”

“Cuando afuera de latino America se habla del “Latin” generalmente la gente lo relaciona con la musica cubana q se escuchaba en hace mas de 30-40 anios, antes que Kennedy declarara el embargo, y la verdad es q hay muchisimo mas! Desde el candombe uruguayo, o la samba brasilera e incluso la chacarera y folklore de los altiplanos de suramerica. Mi meta es mostrar globalmente los tesoros musicales que se encuentran escondidos en Latinoamerica, dandole a los artistas la chance de exponer su musica en un medio mundial y profesional y al oyente a escuchar una perspectiva un poco diferente de latin jazz. Esto es “Latin Fusion”

Tambien acompaniando se encuentra nada mas ni nada menos que Agustina Perrota, haciendose cargo de las entrevistas, notas, etc.. desde la mismisima ciudad de Buenos Aires. Con experiencia la que ya tiene y con lo que ha aportado a la radio, estamos orgullosos de tenerla en el equipo (por cierto, mencione que tambien es una gran cantante de jazz?)

Nicholas “Nico” Staub: Raised in Argentina and now kicking it in LA, Nico is proud to be part of the Pulsar Sound Radio crew taking the position of Station Engineer and leading the “Latin Fusion” program.

“When you talk about Latin, a lot of people still relate it to Cuban salsa from 40 years ago… thanks JFK… The truth is there is so much more! From the Uruguayan candombe, to Brazilian samba, and the chacarera and folklore from the heights of center south America. My goal is to show globally some of the musical treasures that are hidden in South America, giving artists the chance to expose their music though a worldwide professional media and the listener a different perspective of Latin Jazz. This is Latin Fusion.”

Also accompanying Nico in our Latin Jazz department, is Agustina Perrota. Perrota will be taking care of interviews, reviews, etc, directly from Buenos Aires itself! Having the chance to meet with some of the greatest musicians in South America, while using her love for writing and music, we are proud to have her as part of the team. By the way, have we mentioned she is also a jazz singer?
